Mick Murray was elected to the Western Australian Parliament as the Member for Collie on 10 February 2001, and has been re-elected as the Member for Collie-Wellington in 2005 and Collie-Preston in 2008 and 2013.
Prior to entering parliament, Mick was a mechanic, employed at a large coal mine near Collie for nearly 25 years and a vocal supporter for workers’ rights as the local union delegate. He has also served on the local shire Council and on a number of their committees.
A McGowan Labor Government will work with the local community and local industries to expand the Wellington National Park.
The Liberal-National Government has blocked the Lake Kepwari opening yet again.
